Performance
Performance opportunities include: street theatre, festival participation as well as in house performance and full- scale productions.
Past productions include: Side Effects, Waiting for Godot, The Glass Menagerie, Vernon Recollections, Art, and The Courters, a Commedia dell’Arte play. Recent performances include: the annual CBC reading of A Christmas Carol; VERNON...Our Town!; Shakespeare in Action, an original production with Elizabethan dance choreographed by Renaissance dance specialist, Catherine Lee; Shakespeare Avenue, an original 21st Century update.
The School has had consistently outstanding results at all levels of the performing arts festivals, including Junior, Intermediate, Senior and National division winners at the B.C. and Canadian Festival of the Performing Arts. In December of 2005, Our Directors coordinated Vernon Performs, which showcased Vernon performers for the World Cup Cross Country Ski event, including performances by our students.
